My Granddad brought his family to Brighton on summer day trips, to escape a drab post-war London. He found utopia in a pot of cockles, a deck chair and a bottle of light ale. I found a utopia of my own in a city with broad horizons, which is what inspired me to set up a studio here in 2010.
Having gained a wealth of experience in agency-land, we pull on this knowledge to offer creative solutions across a variety of brand challenges. We believe in simple, direct communication and apply this to print, screen and environmental design.

Sarah Mitchenall has worked hard to developed a reputation as the go-to garden designer for innovation and creativity. She has now established a strong client base not only in her native Sussex but across the UK and into Europe, designing gardens as far a field as Ibiza. With a new website planned it was time to match her vision with a new brand identity. Sarah’s sense of style run’s beyond flora and fauna and she wanted a visual identity that would be both visually arresting as well as reflect her contemporary approach to designing gardens.
We were inspired by Sarah’s approach to her work as a garden designer. Typography is clean and structured in the same way that Sarah creates an architectural structure for each of her designs. We then juxtapose this with reference from the traditional in the form of classic botanical illustrations which reflects the type of plants that Sarah populates her designs with. The delicate black and white illustrations interrupted by the neon green type make for an arresting, contemporary brand identity.
